If you live in one of the four cities in America where viewing a movie at Gold Class Cinemas is possible, GO!

There is no reason to deny yourself such a luxury.

This video is a bit cheeky, as it was filmed at the height of last year's panic, but since May 2009, GCC has been selling out almost every showing. They are now pursuing a rapid expansion program, so don't fret if you have to "suffer" through Imax for the next 12 months.

Robin Hood: 2010

At the very pinnacle of his popularity, Kevin Costner chose to take on the role of Robin of Locksley. The movie was a financial success, though critics found much to guffaw about. It's easy to make fun of Men in Tights, even when you are the biggest movie star in the world.

2010 will bring us a new Robin Hood, in the form of Russell Crowe. I can't say the public is asking for this, but I have been wrong before.

The word "quirky" comes to mind, but somewhat interesting.

Brooklyn's Finest

The last time Antoine Fuqua was behind a camera for a cop film, Denzel Washington took home some statuary for his work in front of said camera. While meeting the expectation of creating the dark, brooding "Training Day" may be a reach, we are very much looking forward to "Brooklyn's Finest."

An actual all-star cast includes Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, Wesley Snipes and hetail fave, Ethan Hawke, who was along for the ride in "Training Day."

Bad things are going to happen, but that is very good for us.

When you remake George Romero, I'm there.

This will also be the first starring role (on the big screen) for Timothy Oliphant since the end of "Deadwood." I guess the decision has been made that America likes him with a gun, as he reprises his role as Sheriff in this movie as well.

Jane Austen the Remix

Seth Grahame-Smith's "Pride & Prejudice and Zombies" has already won every book award conceivable (save the Pulitzer) since it's April 2009 publication, but the novel will have a far-reaching impact on the broader culture of mass media.

Already, Natalie Portman is scheduled to star in the movie adaptation, other classic novels are in the works and, if publishers weekly is to be believed, re-makes of every classic movie, with zombies added, are in the offing.

My personal prayer is for "It's A Wonderful Life and Zombies." They can work at the bank with Mr. Potter.

A well-rounded man knows a good conversation topic, for parties, when he sees it.

Avatar Opening

I have not looked forward to a movie opening so much since 'The Dark Knight.' TDK delivered the goods, and then some, as I believe the movie deserved an Oscar nomination, if not a win. 

James Cameron's 'Avatar' will deliver the goods, I only hope the 'Titanic' comparison backlash will not be as huge as it seems to be in the press.

If you decide to see the film, and you opt out of seeing the 3-D version, you will be cheating yourself out of 50% of the film.
